Introduction to Pharmaceuticals

Medical interpreters play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care by facilitating clear communication about prescription medications. Their presence helps prevent misunderstandings, errors, and disparities, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes and healthcare system efficiency.

 

In this module students will become familiar with the forms of administering medications, the different forms of medications, and what they are used for.  We will also discuss how proper interpretation of instructions for taking medication and dosage is imperative to patient adherence and safety.
