Interpreting in Immigration Affairs

In this module, interpreters will be introduced to the immigration process, the ways in which U.S. citizenship can be obtained, visa eligibility,  and deportation proceedings.  Students will become familiar with immigration terminology.  We will review interpreter ethics and standards as they pertain to immigration encounters and best practices for clear communication.
