Video Remote Interpreting

Video Remote Interpreting uses video conferencing technology to provide a qualified interpreter when an onsite interpreter is not readily available. Video Remote Interpreting has greatly improved the quality of services for limited English proficient (LEP) patients. It promotes safer patient care as the result of better patient and health provider engagement.

In this training module we will discuss the pros and cons of remote interpreting, some of the challenges faced when working remotely, and the qualifications needed to be successful in the field of VRI.
