The Integumentary System is an organ system consisting of the skin, hair, nails, and exocrine glands.  The skin is the largest organ in the body and forms a barrier to protect the body from chemicals, disease, UV light, and physical damage.  In this module, students will learn about the layers of skin and the functions of each layer.  We will also discuss common diseases, disorders, and injuries that affect the integumentary system.  We will discuss the diagnosis and the treatment of diseases that affect the integumentary system.
