HIV is a disease that affects over forty million people worldwide and one million people in the United States.  During the early stages of infection, individuals can live symptom free.  Progression of the disease varies by patient and can be impacted by a variety of factors.  In this module, students will learn the methods of transmission, the different stages of HIV, be able to describe the methods of prevention and explain the difference between HIV and AIDS.
